According to section 11 of the Election Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2008, every Gewog and Dzongkhag Thromde, which is not part of a Gewog, is entitled to nominate one candidate for the National Council Election.
Corresponding to this, as per section 4.3 of the Guidelines for Dhamngoi Zomdu of the Gewog/Dzongkhag Thromde for National Council Elections, 2023, the Dzongkhag Electoral Authority will conduct Dhamngoi Zomdu in the Gewogs and a Thromde under Monggar Dzongkhag as per the attached schedule.
