Mongar Dzongkhag Observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

The Mongar Dzongkhag Administration observed the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women with a program coordinated by the Dzongkhag’s CBSS Focal Person. The event was graced by the presence of Dasho Dzongda, Dasho Drangpoen, Dasho SP, as well as teachers and students from Mongar Higher Secondary School, Mongar Middle Secondary School, Kidheykhar Higher Secondary School, and Ridaza Primary School, RENEW volunteers, sector heads, and Mongar Gup.

The program emphasized the collective responsibility of addressing and eliminating violence against women and girls. Presentations were made on teenage pregnancy, reproductive health, and RENEW-related cases in the Dzongkhag to make the participants aware of the practical issues being faced by women and girls.

This observance reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts and reaffirmed the Dzongkhag's commitment to ending violence against women and girls, ensuring a safer and more equitable society for all.
