Narang Gewog


Narang gewog consists of 188 households with a population of about 1139. Till 9th FYP, the geog was under Drametse Geog. It is segregated from Drametse geog as per the resolution of the 85th National Assembly in 2005. Maize is the staple food and the principal cereal crop in the gewog. Paddy, millet, buckwheat and spring wheat are also grown on small scale. Potato is the main source of cash income for the people. Mango, orange and walnut cultivation is also picking up in the gewog. The geog will be connected with construction of 12 kms farm road to the existing Drametse feeder road.The gewog has one community school with over 150 students. Construction of BHU-II will be completed in 2007, which will render health services to the people.
